"FOOD AND WINE" of FRANCESCO CHIAVACCI LAGO

QUALITY PRODUCTS – NOT A SLOW CHOOSING AN ETHICAL DUTY

“We have to understand that we are the country with the best production in the world and that behind every product there is a story.”

CORBARA

An example I think comes from Campania, a region that PLINIO IL VECCHIO called Campania Felix precisely to point out her fertility. A complex and beautiful region, with excellent wine and groceries. The protagonist of this beautiful story is the Corbarino Tomato.

A tomato of ancient origins and is cultivated in a traditional manner without irrigation.

SLOW + FASHION + DESIGN

Mission

Our mission is to bring to the attention of more people, the values of slow-life, slow-fashion, ethical design, sustainability and beauty.

We are always against “standardization” and “acceleration”. I am proud of the uniqueness and support of man, at the heart of everything.

Still too few realities give the right importance to words such as quality, recycling, territoriality. Most often they are used and exploited as a slogan to attract attention.

TOPIC OF THE WEEK

CYCLED PROJECT, RECYCLE AND DESIGN

The creators of Cycled Project, are Silvio and Luca, two brothers originally from Venice joined in passion for bicycle, design and recycling. The mission is to create belts using the used bicycle wheel cover. With hands, “tappezziere” scissors, “punzonatrice”, needles and cotton threads, they give birth to objects that tell of passion, creativity, beauty.

TOPIC OF THE MONTH

THE BAMBOO

Everyone knows BAMBOO, but maybe not everyone is aware of this plant’s incredible versatility.

In many countries it is considered a sacred plant. And in a way it is: it’s vital like no other plants, it grows incredibly fast, all its parts can be used by men, it reduces air pollution, can heal and stands out for its beauty.

It is widespread in the tropical and subtropical areas, where it grows naturally, but it can grow basically anywhere in the world.

INSIGHTS

SLOW + FASHION + DESIGN is an innovative italian project inspired by a new way of thinking and living not only in fashion world. We talk about ideas, images, stories of people, business realities, all inspired by values and the “SLOW” philosophy.

Slow-Life, Slow-Fashion, Ethics, Ethical Design, Independent Design, Sustainability, Responsibility and Beauty are key points for our future.

“La moda e il design sono il mio lavoro e di questo mondo desidero condividere realtà straordinarie. Persone e aziende che hanno scelto lo stile slow.”

Alessandro Crosato, Design Director.

“Lo slow Life per me non è stata una scelta, ma un naturale cammino. Un cammino apparentemente sempre più rigoroso, che in realtà si arricchisce ogni giorno di nuove esperienze.”

Silvia Muller, Blogger.

Slow + Fashion + Design is aimed at anyone who wants to personally engage in a SLOW path.

There is no sequential reading, but arguments are deliberately proposed in scattered order. The reader lets himself be guided by his own interests.

SLOW” does not mean laziness or slow action but thought and education of taste in relation to beauty, sustainability and time management, making sense of personal choices.

SLOW is a current of thought, born in Italy. As opposed to the rhythms of modern life and the industrial model based on the concept of fast, built in the last 100 years. It has spread, especially in the last thirty years, but its roots are much deeper.
